I knew going in to this that it was a scam. unfortunately we would do anything for our kids. After we got our card in the mail and calling them I asked if they were going to try to sell us modeling classes and they stated "No". I took my son to the BS seminar and sure enough they filled his head with false hopes and dreams and then hit us with the sales pitch. My fault for falling for it in the first place. Now my son is crushed, angry at me, and Barbizon will get their naive fools that actually pay.

Written by christian, on 26-02-2010 20:33 ive been in barbizon school for a little while now and i love it and i think its just like any other kind of school it doesnt guarantee you a job nor does any other college it gives you the schooling and the training for the career that you want its not a scam so whoever says that is is really demented and dumb as *** |
22. Written by Brittany, on 24-02-2010 22:14 I am in Barbizon training right now, and i love it. True they dont guarentee you jobs... but its just like anything else.. colleges dont guarentee you jobs either.. of course you have to work for it, but they give you skills and contacts. I mean just talking to people who have went to IMTA, won awards and been signed with larger agencies gives you an idea of what to do. Some people are concerned about the the fees, but every agency asks for fees for modelling training... ITS TRAINING IT COSTS! lol true there are other ways but Barbizon and programs like it give you an advatage. I

26. Written by L.Marie, on 17-02-2010 16:46 Okk. Every one could graduate from Barbizon if you have the money! They dont give a f**k about helping you! I went to Barbizon & when I realized how crappy it was I ended their bull! I'm 16 & I was smart enough to realize their scam! My friend stood attending & after the graduation she got no where! they didnt answer any of her calls & honestly she was the prettiest girl there with most talent. If you want real modeling visit Keen Modeling..they help you out without taking your money like Barbizon!
27. Written by Previous Barbizon employee, on 16-02-2010 13:43 Hello! I just want to clear the air because I used to work for Barbizon, and the company is definitely not a scam. This company teaches young men and women how to be successful in this type of industry, but does not guarantee that you will become a Supermodel from it. They give you all of the tools that you will need to succeed, and then it is up to you to make something out of it. When someone goes to college and spends thousands of dollars on a degree, there is still no guarantee that the person will have a job out of college, but it is much more likely than someone who doesn't go to college. People don't complain that their college scammed them, and Barbizon should be thought of with the same principles. I understand that some people are not happy with modeling schools, but that is exactly what they are...a school. I suggest that if you have the potential to be a model or actor, definitely get trained, or no one is going to work with you. Companies go through agencies to find work, and not anyone off of the street will get hired. My advice is to know all of your facts before you sign with any agency or modeling/acting schools, and then you will not be disappointed. Thanks!

30. Written by Reptar, on 08-02-2010 12:56 I graduated from Barbizon and am going to attend the graduation in March. I think it is a waste of time and if you are interested in modeling go to the school and that's it. Don't do the extra stuff they ask you to do, it's a waste of time. ![]()
