A few months ago I attended Barbizon...FOR ALL THE MONEY MY PARENTS PAID...it was NOT worth it at all. YOU learn things like facials, make-up, and walk down a runway- which, they dont even go over that well.

Yes, I made some friends..but it didnt do S*** for me, it didnt boost my confidence or anything. then they say when you graduate there will be agents there,....ya okay, ONLY THE TEACHERS WERE THERE. biggest rip OFFF EVER.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY....but rather find an agent and take photoshoots. Thats what I did, and I got major movie parts. 12952bf

:) I am a student right now and I am loving each class. I now know how to walk in high heels and I am meeting new friends. I say it's totally worth it! The teachers are funny and nice.

My daughter went to Barbizon Arizona and it was great! It was definitely worth the investment, especially after all our hesitation because of the portrayal of modeling schools and scams. The staff worked so hard for us. They were on top of everything. From the classes I saw such improvement in my daughter’s confidence and how she carried herself. She was one that got signed to the agency. Since then she has had multiple opportunities to audition. She has gotten selected for Dillard’s twice now, as well as a couple hair shows, including Paul Mitchell. Overall, wonderful experience from a team of people who want to see my daughter grow as an individual, as well as succeed in the industry! Recommended!

I went to Barbizon of Akron and loved the classes. The only girl in my class that did not like it missed 1/2 the classes and did not do anything she was supposed to.

I went to Barbizon AZ. WASTE! The concept is good but Jean and Amanda are idiots!!!! They didnt go over the material in depth and didnt care about us after the graduation. Teachers wanted to be your friend not your teacher. I believe in barbizon but do nto go to the Arizona schools!

I believe that Barbizon is an institution that helps girls to build their self esteem. I am a parent and I’m going to pay for my daughter to go through these classes because a have the opportunity to do it, like I’m also pay for my two sons to get some Baseball classes as well. She already has great self esteem. She maybe did not needed to go, but she wanted, and I support her because I thing it's something good for her life. If they call her and hired someday to modeling job, well be great but if not, she is going to have a wonderful experience and that not everyone else can had. I’m doing this for her benefits on her life and that’s it.

I graduated from Barbizon of Akron 10 yrs. ago and loved the classes. I put my son thru the classes 4 years ago, and he loved them.

We both have worked with their agency, Pro-Models I have done many tv commercials and print jobs. My son has also done the same thing. While they never promised we would work we both have made money and have had a ball doing it. I read the above reviews and even if neither of us worked it was a great deal of fun and we both learned a lot.

Nobody can teach you self-confidence, which is what they claim to do. Self-confidence is something you gain your self. Nobody can teach you how to be self-confident, But with good parents, teachers, friends and life experience you will gain it.

Of course they do not mention money till the end of the meeting, it is like a time-share, till they have had you there for hours they don't ask for money. It is a brain washing of sorts.

My daughter attended Barbizon of AZ in 2009-2010. She went to the audition at a hotel in Phoenix and the next day they called and told me that she is everything that they are looking for in a model, but first she would need to go thru their program and then after she finished the program she could sign with Southwest Model and Talent agency,To make a long story short she went thru the program and even attended IMTA this year. DO NOT spend the money for IMTA it is very expensive and not worth it. My daughter is away at college now and has not even received a call or an e-mail for any auditions.Barbizon takes your money and makes you feel that this is the best thing for your child but once your done you never hear from them again. Yes, my daughter learned to fix her hair and makeup, but it was a very expensive lesson. After spending close to $8,000 on Barbizon and IMTA we have come to the conclusion that we would of been smarter to leave the money in the bank for college. Dateline on NBC did a story on Barbizon and IMTA. Google it. It is amazing the same song and dance they give parents in order to sign your kids up. I wish I would of seen it before we made the decision to do this.
