Written by dumb founded on October 29, 2011 from fayetteville, north carolina, US Yeah basically the above reveiews I agree with...at my interview, it was an old woman who constently bragged through out the interview about how she knows all these famous people and agents and blah blah. She pretty much pressured me to enroll in the class because she claimed "it was the last opening for THIS particular scholarship" uhhh she must have meant the BS scholarship because when I asked my teacher (who was also a teenager who had no modeling experience and was deff. not model material at all) she basically said the scholarship wasn't anything special or anything I could use. It was rediculous everytime I went to my class they had a cocky all I really care about is your money attitude, they probably focused on that more then actually teaching me things or anything else. In fact they were teaching me things I already know how to do. We had to do all of our own make-up, hair dress ourselves..it was pathetic. And yes there were girls in there who no offense could never really be a model in hollywood. Then to top it all off we had lunch at burgerking everytime we had a class. SERIOUSLY!!! Im sure most models dont eat burgerking. The staff had a nasty attitude about everyone/thing else but themselves..like they were better or something totally unproffessional. I got absolutely nothing but the loss of my hard earned money out it. Please please do not listen to them they will tell you whatever they have to to get you in their school and as fast as they can. Terrible experience..and then to top it off they sent me a letter in the mail telling me I still owe them the rest of my tuition whether or not I attend my classes or graduation. BS I aint payin them one my cent of my money ![]() |

| 8. Written by Mrs. Breneus on December 6, 2010 from lowell, massachusetts, US To each it's own. My daughter is a Barbizon student and loves every bit of it. We are from Boston and the instructors here are very well experienced and know their stuff. In life you have to pay for everything, these people's time is not free so therefore for 2 months you are contributing to the salaries of those that are taking the time to give back what most have gone thru Barbizon and received. No it's not for everyone and if the money is two much then it's not for you. THUMBS up for the Boston Barbizon!!!! |

| 10. Written by Alexia on May 23, 2010 from whiting, indiana, US This "school" is a complete and total joke. They make the kids believe that its some ultra-exclusive honor to be "allowed" to go here.well news flash THEY WILL TAKE ANYONE WHO IS WILLING TO PAY THEM OVER $2000.My friend went to the six month course (2 classes per month) and im really confused as to what exactly her "tuition" was going towards. The only thing that costs Barbizon anything was the price to rent out a couple rooms at a hotel two times a month. At the "graduation" ceremony, which is a "fashion show",they dont do anyones make-up,hair,and they all wear their own outfits.I'm pretty sure they dont give out fashion tips either because some of the girls just looked like a hot mess. You dont have to look like a model or have any talent to go here.I actually feel bad for my friend because she actually has potential (shes skinny, pretty and tall) and here she is in this class with a bunch of random girls that couldve been picked up from off the street for all we know. The "ceremony" was very pathetic, the "instructor" was very uncoordinated and didnt know anyones name.(I wonder if she even has any kind of experience in the industry).BOTTOM LINE,if you are serious about wanting a career in acting or modeling DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL.It is a complete and total waste of money and I dont even know how these people sleep at night. |
