So many people on here are pissed off at Barbizon...Why?? It's a training school!!!!Not a gaurentee that your child will make it big!!It's up to your child to make that effort..If he or she wasnt meant to be,then that's it.Dont blame anyone else for that.LOL My daughter went without and expectaions of making it big time and has had sooooooooooo many jobs...It's what you put in to it,how bad you want it,the work you do to make it happen...Come on..I saw on here law suits, typical for some people to say that..Sad,very sad..Not a good parent role model to teach your child to grow up with that advice..I am laughing right now how ignorant people can be..You should really leave this to your child to do because you are only going to hurt them in the long run with that stupitity, crazy nonsence!!!! Oh boy!!!!!!! 1295227

Does anyone here understand the principles of business. 1. Make Money 2. Service your customer 3. Repeat.

No customer has a guarantee to be "The One".

No lies have been told

Try doing this alone without guidance and support, which is all Barbizon is selling. If everyone thought their child to be the "ONE", then you are the one being sold out, not your child. Accept Barbizon for what is does, which is to provide some training, and maybe get an interview, that's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Barbizon is a SCHOOL! Duh.. yes you have to pay for it.

Tyra Banks is right.. "you should never have to pay for a modeling career" this means DON'T EVER PAY TO GET IN TO AN AGENCY (any AGENCY that makes you pay is a scam). But schools aren't free.. Barbizon is a school that gives you a BETTER chance at coming in contact with legit agencies by improving your walk, attitude & appearance. Never once do they guarantee that $2,000 will buy you or your child fame. Im 17 & know this.. people claiming Barbizon is a scam obviously know nothing about how the modeling word works.

I agree with you blah,You will gain alot of confidence and at the end you will be invited to go audition and could win scholorships to a great modeling school and if you get picked you will move onto the competition with tons of great agents and hopfully be one of the lucky ones..My daughter was picked in the audition for commercials which we will be going to the competition in June. We love to go to as many events we can.Its fun and it gets your foot in the door for agents to find your great talent and find you some jobs..It does cost alot of money and the audition cost money as well as the competitions but if its your dream the money is worth what the outcome can be..I wish you the best luck on your journey to fame..Keep me posted to what you think..The classes can be draining but its not for long and then you move on to greater things..Give it a shot its so worth it..My daughter thats 10 is the one that went and im so proud of her accomplishment and she is too and the confidence she gained and still is,is awesome to see..Good luck hun and the best to you and your family

I agree. I was chosen by Barbizon. Right I'm wondering if I should take the classes from all the negative things said about it. Yeah, they do hype you up and everything. But from the meeting I went to, they said directly that "WE CANNOT GUARENTEE YOUR CHILD JOBS." or something along those lines. Plus the fact that you have to be a mature, responsible kid and that they don't accept people who slack off and get bad grades kind of shows how serious they company is. Who wants to hire some one that is always late or rude or dumb? Plus, the jobs for modeling and acting are always looking for a SPECIFIC type or look. Its not Barbizon's fault that you're kid wasn't what any of the people were scouting for. It may be a lot of money, but parents shouldn't be PROMISING their kid anything. Me and my mom kept taking about it since the meeting on Saturday. She kept saying "There is no guarentee that you'll get a job, so don't set your hopes too high." And I admit that its hard not to do that...there are hundreds of people chosen by Barbizon all the time. You have to compete with all those other kids for your job. It's not going to come to you if you're sitting on your butt and putting in no effort!

I agree with Mbd 100% any activity that you put your kids in costs money. Kids today need the self-confidence the Barbizon's schools can give them.
